ANWAR IBRAHIM CLUB ORGANISE COMPETITION

Merpati Jingga, a web portal which was established in August 2001 and have organized a numerous events now has planned a nationwide essay competition for young, liberal people. The competition will be organized by Anwar Ibrahim Club (AIC) and assisted by a group of young influenced independent bloggers who called themselves Blog Bugs. They won the Young Socio-Political Entrepreneurship (YSPE) 2006. The competition is sponsored by Frederich Naumann Foundation. With the support from the foundation and Blog Bugs, Merpati Jingga now is proudly offers RM500 for the grand prize. The winner will also be given a chance to attend a seminar organized by the foundation in outside country. Selected essays will also be chosen to be published in a book; Melangkaui Sempadan (Beyond Boders) – a collection of article in a book. The preliminary session of competition will be conducted virtually in mid-April. The competition will be conducted Bahasa Melayu. For any enquiries, please contact keluar.sangkar@gmail.com. For the preliminary round, participants are require to write a 400 words essay about “My Understanding on Visit Malaysia Year 2007”. The essay must be in Bahasa Melayu. Every two weeks, one participant will be eliminated base on the lowest vote. 50% of the marks come from the polling and 50% from the professional jury.
