The Israeli-Palestinian Issue, Where has the Road Map gone?

Along with the recent tensions in a newly sovereign Iraq, the Israeli - Palestinian conflict continues to remain at the forefront of the international security issues. No doubt that the Israeli-Palestinian issue continues to have an impact on the foreign policy considerations of all in the international system, whether one considers one's position as a member of the 'coalition forces', ASEAN, or the Muslim world. As the controversial 'security wall' that the Sharon administration is building serves to highlight the desperation of this conflict, it is often commented that both sides 'threw away' any real chance for peace at the Camp David meeting in the year 2000 between Prime Minister Bharak and Chairman Arafat. So what now for this pinnacle obstacle to peace in the Middle East? The following article in the New York Review of Books provides an interesting --albeit controversial-- piece on this question.
