Third Asian Liberty Forum
On September 11, the Atlas Economic Research Foundation sponsored the 3rd Asian Liberty Forum Meeting in Kuala Lumpur in order to spread the ideas of classical liberalism among Asia’s intellectual entrepreneurs. The event took the form of a colloquium, focusing on "PATHWAYS TO LIBERTY AND FREE MARKETS IN ASIA."
The colloquium raised issues of fundamental concern to any organisation, including those that campaign for more individual freedom and open markets. The four panels were covering the topics of how to plan your think tank’s success, how to communicate effectively, how to promote ideas in challenging environments and how to overcome impediments to freedom.
The many guests and speakers were leaders of organisations, like the Bluegrass Institute for Public Policy Solutions, Americans for Tax Reform and the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty. From the Asian side there were almost 60 representatives from about 20 Asian countries.
Presentations, the participant list and photos are now available online.
