In his book Norberg shows why capitalism is in the process of creating a better world, showing the opportunities and freedom that globalisation brings to the world’s poor. With graphs and statistics the book presents facts that capitalism has brought about lower poverty and created opportunities for individuals in the last few decades.

Taking on issues such as economic growth, free and fair trade, international debt and child labour, Norberg concludes in this book that free-market capitalism is the best route out of global poverty.
